I also bought this as a cat toy. It’s so bright it can easily be seen outdoors during the day. This is a powerful laser. Great price.

This item is really nice; they did include the extras (flashlight and cloth). The finish is excellent, seems like a quality made product. Uses 2 AAA batteries which I would not expect to last long. This laser is really bright – I can put spots on houses a block away, and in fact actually played with a cat almost a block away with it in the daylight. This is a super cat toy. I cannot comment on astronomical use however.
